1976 is an epic year for The Jacksons, quite
literally. The brothers move to Epic Records and become The Jacksons. The group sees Randy replaces Jermaine, who stays with Motown to begin his solo career. They star in their own variety series on ABC called “The Jackson’s” and continue to release pop singles such as ‘Enjoy Yourself’ and ‘Show You the Way to Go.’ ![]() The brothers begin the final Jackson 5 Tour, taking them away from their original moniker, and onwards to their new future as “The Jacksons.” ![]() The Jackson 5’s recording contract with Motown Records expires and they are free to move to CBS Records. ![]() The Jackson 5 ‘Anthology’ (LP), is released. ![]()
